Jack & Jill Family Camp occurs in mid-July every summer. New campers can be added to our data base by submitting a “Contact Us” form at any time.

  1. Follow these instructions to whitelist our email so you don’t miss correspondence from us.
  2. Once you receive the registration announcement, follow the instructions in the email, so we can send you an invoice for your $500 deposit. Cabins are reserved on a first come first served basis. Paying your deposit holds a spot for your family, but DOES NOT reserve a specific cabin.
  3. After we receive your deposit, we will send you an email with a link to complete your registration form. This is where you tell us about your family, including how many campers you will have, the ages of your children, t-shirt sizes, and any dietary needs.
  4. Once we receive your completed registration form, we will send you an invoice with your final camp fee balance. Each family pays a $100 non-refundable cleaning fee, which covers the cost to contract a professional cleaning team that completes a mid-week cleaning of all bathrooms plus our required final cleaning of the kitchen, dining hall, recreation hall, and all bathrooms at the close of camp. Campers are responsible for leaving their cabin clean. New campers’ invoices include an additional $100 cleaning deposit, which is refundable and can be returned if your cabin is left clean. Most campers plan to return and choose to roll this refundable deposit forward.
  5. After you pay your final balance invoice, we will send a confirmation email with instructions and a suggested packing list.
  6. When you arrive at camp, you will receive your cabin assignment, KP assignment, t-shirts, pinewood derby cars, and final schedule.
  7. Cooperation is key to the success of camp! Family Camp is organized and run by a team of dedicated volunteers. In order to keep the cost low and the activity level high, families assist in some camp activities. The most important is Kitchen Patrol Duty or “KP” Duty. Each family is scheduled to help with up to two meals during the week. KP Duty consists of setting up and serving the meal (cafeteria style) and helping with clean up. KP Duty DOES NOT mean cooking the meal. Our experienced Kitchen Crew does that. Several families are assigned to each shift/meal so the work is shared. It is usually more fun than work!

Beyond KP Duty, we ask parents to assist in activities in which their children participate, or just lend a hand when needed. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Your registration fees Include:

  • 1 cabin for your family;
  • Daily Meals (Sunday – Friday);
  • 1 camp t-shirt for each camper;
  • 1 pinewood derby car for each child 18 and under in your party;
  • Group hike with Mendocino Woodlands Naturalist;
  • Crafts; and
  • Scheduled camp activities.
